The forecast by Salman
Khan that the film Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayange would become a hit proved to be
true. The cast of the film included Shahrukh Khan and Kajol in lead roles and
this Indian movie has completed 1000 weeks of its release. The movie was
directed by Aditya Choprs and produced by Yash Chopra on 20th
October 1995. Still the film is being regularly shown in the Maratha Mandir cinema
hall for the last 1000 weeks.
To celebrate the occasion
Shahrukh Khan recently visited the show “Comedy Nights with Kapil” and shared
his experiences about the film and his career in Indian film industry. There he
revealed that only Salman Khan was confident about the success of the film. But
Shahrukh himself was unsure about it. It was due to the reason that he has
performed in negative roles as anti-hero in his earlier films like Bazigar and
Dar and was uncertain how the viewers would react to his romantic role in DDLJ.
Several people believed that the decision of Shahrukh Khan was wrong to perform
in a romantic film and DDLJ would not be
successful on box office.
Shahrukh Khan further
said that Salman was sure that DDLJ would not only become a superhit but also
break the record of Maine Pyaar Kiya.
